Not so long ago New Year holidays have been finished but it is February and we have another holiday ….Do you remember which one ? Oh yes ! That is the special day of all people who love each other. Did you guess what holiday I am talking about ????? I am giving you thirty seconds to think )))) but I am sure you don’t need this time to think because you will give an instant answer …. Yes ! You are correct ! It is St. Valentine’s day !!! Are you waiting for this holiday? Do you dream to spend it with your lovable second half ? I am sure that you have already started to think how you will spend this holiday .
Lots of people know this holiday but not all of them know the origin of this holiday and how it appeared in the list of the most favourite holidays of the mankind.
There are many different legends connected with this holiday. And one legend says that Valentine was a priest who lived in Rome in the third century. The Emperor of Rome ordered that young men shouldn’t get married because they are more strong and better soldiers when they are without women. But Valentine secretly continued to perform marriages for young lovers. But his secret was realized by the emperor and then Valentine was prisoned and put to death.
Sad story of the noble man who did his mission on this Earth – to unite the lovable hearts ! He was really brave !!! It is interesting if you were such Priest like Valentine … which way would you choose ??? to help other people or to be indifferent ?
