Hi! If you’re reading this message right now, it’s certainly not because I have nothing better to do. It’s just that, amidst hundreds of identical profiles, something about mine caught your eye—something alive, genuine, and vibrant. No pestering here—just genuine interest and a healthy dose of the adventurous spirit!
Yesterday’s Story
Something happened to me yesterday that made me smile and feel a twinge of disappointment—a feeling that quickly gave way to a surge of immense hope.
I was strolling through Podil in the evening, enjoying a cup of coffee. A man was walking towards me—stylish, with incredibly tired yet very kind eyes. As he passed, he bumped into my shoulder, and my coffee cup went flying onto the cobblestones. I froze, expecting the usual apology followed by a quick getaway.
But he didn't leave. He knelt right down on the wet stones and began to apologize with such genuine humor that I burst out laughing. It turned out he was rushing to an important meeting, had lost track of time, and was terribly distracted as a result. We chatted for about ten minutes right there in the middle of the street: laughing at our absurd coincidence and swapping jokes about Kyiv traffic jams...
Then a phone call interrupted us—he had to rush off immediately. We didn't even have time to properly introduce ourselves or exchange contact details. I stood on the empty street, feeling a twinge of disappointment at how abruptly and foolishly it had all ended. Yet, a strong, warm hope suddenly took root within me: if such spontaneous, sparkling encounters can happen in the middle of the workweek, then the Universe must clearly be preparing something special for me. Perhaps this letter is the continuation of that moment?
What would you have done in that stranger's shoes: hurried on to your meeting, or found a way to at least learn my name?
Do you believe in random signs of fate, or do you think that everything in our lives depends solely on determination?
