Non-traditional Christmas ideas
It is known that Christmas is a family holidays that is celebrated almost all over the world. In different countries there are different traditions to celebrate this holiday . Some traditions are funny, some are weird, but all of them are fascinating. But this time we will break the traditions and I would like to share ideas how to make the traditions more interesting .
One of the ideas is to have a culturally-themed Christmas. Decorate your home in the way it is decorated for Christmas and New Year in this culture, imitate their traditions, prepare national dishes–you and your close people will be sure to remember it for years to come!
The other question is - what do you usually eat for Christmas dinner? In our Ukrainian culture we have 12 dishes to set the table. They symbolize 12 apostles of Jesus Christ. But this time I suggest that you taste the dishes from another country’s traditions. There are so many variants: Danish aebleskiver (round pancakes), German christstollen (cake with dried fruit and marzipan ), Polish poppy seed roll …. OMG ! I WANT TO TRY ALL OF THAT !!!! Isn’t that amazing ????
You see how energetic and excited you can be when you have motivation to make your Christmas much more interesting.
But of course it would be more pleasant when you share these ideas with your second half and you can take part in the changing of the way in Christmas celebration.
I have a lot of other ideas, I can share them in letters or in chat .
